SurprisedYouth Expressions Financial Literacy

Teens must understand the ability to save and understand the uses of money. Students will take advantage of hands on experience, as they learn about  finance, check writing, responsibility and issue regarding credit. Youth Expressions has a goal and a duty to young adults and current students to help them maintain financial success. More students drop out of college due to teen accumulated debt than for academic reasons. Knowing how unacceptable this is, our program will enhance the financial success rate in central Ohio.

- The onsite (our location) accelerated course is offered once a week for 5 weeks at $50 a student

- The offsite location (your scheduled location) is a flat rate for 5 weeks.
- Students learn through a hands on method, that includes real life skills.
- Students will learn how to budget and understand the importance of managing their money at an early age.
- Students will easily track their financial status.
- Every week vocabulary words are reviewed and distributed.

Youth Expressions mentoring programs exist to provide role models and help a child develop socially and emotionally. Mentors help kids understand and communicate their feelings, relate to their peers, develop relationships with other adults and stay in school. Community members are often willing and able to serve as mentors but do not know how to get involved in schools.
